Who Are Our Fellows?
Maryland Bar Foundation Fellows are distinguished members of the bench and bar recognized for outstanding professional achievement, dedication to the legal profession, and commitment to the Rule of Law.
Selection as a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation is recognition of those who in their professional, public, and private careers have demonstrated superb commitment to the welfare of their communities, the administration of justice, and the traditions of the objectives of the Bar of Maryland.
Fellowship in the Maryland Bar Foundation is by invitation only and is restricted to outstanding Maryland attorneys and judges not exceeding two and one-half percent (2.5%) of membership of the MSBA. Through their contributions, Fellows help provide financial support for public service programs of the MSBA, and other law-related, public service programs that would not otherwise be funded.
Each year, the Foundation contributes between $30,000 and $80,000 to such programs; the exact amount is dependent, in part, on the amount of contributions that the Foundation receives from its Fellows.
As a Fellow, you will be invited to attend a number of exclusive and prestigious events throughout the year, where members of the bench and bar are honored and recognized.
